It is possible, of course we should write and exchange any information we oth have. I do know my Great Grand mother's name was Katherine Dawes Saunders Adamson Procter. Her three middle names of course are from families she was related to. The Dawes were very prominent in Rye mainly solicitors, also they were a large family so it is possibe that one branch moved to London.

My family lived in Rye for some time marrying into various families within Rye. I would be interested in any information anyone has on the kennetts, Southerdens, Coopers, Dawes Adamsons and Saunders. The Procter family lived in WestStreet, Mermaid Street and Watchbell Street. I know this is a blanket approach and I can give more details concerning dates etc if required.

My family were once the Doctors in Lydd. Some of the older population may remember the Doctor Procters. Anyway I am trying to find a photograph of the old family home The Paddocks before it was re-developed.Also any information anyone may have of their time in Lydd.

I am researching my family who come from Rye the name is Procter they were Surgeons and posibly one was a mayor of Rye. They lived in the town during the 18th and 19th centuries. They maried into the Dawes of Iden. Knew the Ramsdens, also surgeons, Married into the southerdons of Brownhills?
Any assisence would be helpfull. I have taken the name back to one Edward Nathaniel Procter who lived in the town in the middle 1700's

I am researching my family history and have found a connection to you're village. Mt great grandfather married a Catherine Dawes of Iden around 1850. His name was James Cooper Procter from Rye. He was a surgeon and the family went on to live in Lydd. They had nine children any links to either Catherine Dawes or James Cooper would be helpful. Catherines fathers name was Weedon Dawes, Possibly a surgeon or lawyer.
